The 2023 American science fiction film directed by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods follows pilot Mills (Adam Driver), who undertakes a two-year space expedition to earn money for his daughter Nevine's medical treatment. During the journey, his spaceship, the Zoic, collides with an asteroid field and crash-lands on an unknown planet, which is revealed to be prehistoric Earth. All passengers perish except for a young girl named Koa (Ariana Greenblatt). Despite a language barrier and a broken translator, Mills decides to protect Koa and embarks on a perilous journey to reach an escape shuttle located atop a mountain. Along the way, they encounter various prehistoric creatures, including aggressive predators and deadly dinosaurs. Mills deceives Koa by telling her that her family awaits her at the summit to motivate her. Throughout their journey, they face numerous dangers, including dinosaur attacks and natural obstacles. When Koa discovers the truth about her family, tension arises between them, but they eventually reconcile. The climax involves a battle with a giant archosaur, which they defeat using cunning and poisonous berries. They escape just in time before an asteroid impact causes a mass extinction event. The film concludes with a depiction of Earth's evolution from the Ice Age to the present day, highlighting the spot where Mills and Koa departed the planet.​
