Deep Blue Sea 3

The 2020 American science fiction horror film directed by John Pogue serves as the third and final installment in the franchise and a direct sequel to "Deep Blue Sea 2." The story is set on the artificial island of Little Happy off the coast of South Africa, where marine biologist Dr. Emma Collins (Tania Raymonde) and her team—Spinn (Alex Bhat), Miya (Reina Aoi), and Eugene Shaw (Emerson Brooks)—are studying the effects of climate change on great white sharks. Their peaceful existence is disrupted by the arrival of a scientific team led by Emma's ex-boyfriend, Dr. Richard Lowell (Nathaniel Buzolic), who are searching for three bull sharks that survived the events of the previous film. These sharks, offspring of the genetically enhanced Bella, exhibit increased intelligence and aggression. As the sharks begin attacking humans, including Emma's team members and locals like Nandi (Siya Mayola) and her brother Bahari (Avumile Qongqo), the situation escalates. The crisis intensifies when Lucas (Bren Foster), leader of mercenaries from Genotic Labs, seizes control of the operation and decides to eliminate all witnesses by planting explosives on the island. Amidst the chaos, Emma loses many friends, including Spinn and Shaw, but with the help of her ally, a great white shark named Sally, she manages to defeat the last bull shark and kill Lucas. In the end, Emma, Nandi, and the surviving Miya leave the devastated island, returning to civilization. The film explores themes of scientific ethics, human intervention in nature, and the consequences of genetic experimentation, blending elements of thriller and horror.
