A 1992 American science fiction comedy horror film, serving as the fourth and final installment in the "Critters" franchise. Directed by Rupert Harvey and written by David J. Schow and Joseph Lyle, the film stars Don Keith Opper as Charlie McFadden, Paul Whitthorne as Ethan, Jonas Brindley as Bernie, Angela Bassett as Fran, Anders Hove as Captain Rick Buttram, Eric Da Re as Albert, and Brad Dourif as Albert. Unlike the previous installments, the setting shifts to space in the year 2045. The plot begins with Charlie McFadden receiving a message from his former partner Ug (Terrence Mann), informing him that destroying the last two Krite eggs would violate intergalactic law. Charlie places the eggs in a capsule but accidentally gets trapped inside and is launched into space, spending over 50 years in cryogenic sleep. In 2045, the crew of the salvage ship RSS Tesla discovers the capsule and brings it aboard. Captain Rick Buttram, engineer Albert, pilot Fran, cargo specialist Bernie, and young engineer Ethan decide to deliver the find to a nearby station after receiving a lucrative offer from TerraCor's counselor, Tetra (Terrence Mann). Upon arriving at the abandoned station with a malfunctioning central computer named "Angela," the crew encounters the awakened Charlie and the hatched Krites, which begin hunting them. The crew suffers losses: Captain Rick and Bernie are killed by the Krites. Charlie and the remaining crew members discover that the station was previously used for experiments with alien organisms. The situation worsens with the arrival of Tetra and his team, who are revealed to have their own ulterior motives, aiming to obtain the Krite eggs for use as biological weapons. Tetra kills Albert, demonstrating his ruthlessness. Ethan cleverly lures Tetra's soldiers into a trap, where they fall victim to the Krites. In the final confrontation, Charlie and Ethan face Tetra; Charlie manages to shoot him, saving Ethan. The survivors—Charlie, Ethan, and Fran—escape the station on Tetra's ship just before it explodes, destroying the remaining Krites and their eggs. The film concludes the franchise by depicting the ultimate eradication of the Krites and the heroes' return to Earth.
