Brother 2

The sequel to the cult crime film Brother (1997). The story takes place shortly after the events of the first movie. Danila Bagrov (Sergei Bodrov Jr.) arrives in Moscow with his friends for a TV show, where he meets Chechen War veteran Konstantin Gromov (Alexei Panteleev). When Gromov reveals that his brother, a hockey player, has been trapped in debt slavery in the USA, Danila decides to help. He travels to America with his friend Viktor (Viktor Sukhorukov) to confront the criminals and free Gromov’s brother. In the U.S., Danila faces the Russian mafia, racism, and the harsh laws of the streets but remains true to his principles. Filled with the atmosphere of the late 1990s, iconic quotes, and a memorable rock soundtrack, the film became one of the most popular Russian movies of its time.
