Election Day

A 2007 comedy film directed by Oleg Fomin, based on the play of the same name by the theater group "Quartet I." The story follows employees of the Moscow radio station "Kak By Radio," who are hired by an oligarch to run an election campaign for an obscure candidate, Igor Tsaplin (Maxim Vitorgan), in a gubernatorial race. Radio hosts Alexey (Leonid Barats), Slava (Rostislav Khait), Kisa (Kamil Larin), and others embark on a regional tour, encountering absurd situations, bizarre incidents, and unexpected obstacles. Political intrigues, cunning opponents, and unconventional campaign tactics turn their journey into a wild adventure. The film is a satirical take on Russia’s electoral system, politics, and media, blending humor with sharp social commentary.
