Evil City

A 2024 historical action film directed by Konstantin Buslov, depicting the heroic defense of the Russian city of Kozelsk in 1238. During Khan Batu's invasion of Rus', the small yet defiant city of Kozelsk came under siege by Mongol forces. For two months, the townspeople, including women and children, valiantly repelled attacks from the superior enemy forces, inflicting significant losses on the invaders. Their resilience and determination became a symbol of the unyielding spirit of the Russian people. The main roles are played by Alexey Guskov (Ratsha), Alexander Metelkin (Moguta), Vladimir Lyubimtsev (Lyutobor), Maxim Belborodov (Ulyba), Alexey Dmitriev (Ugryum), and Artyom Volobuev (Kudim).
