Flight Crew

A 2016 adventure disaster film directed by Nikolay Lebedev, partially inspired by the 1979 Soviet film of the same name. The story follows a talented yet rebellious pilot, Alexey Gushchin (Danila Kozlovsky), who is dismissed from military aviation for insubordination. Given a second chance in civil aviation under the mentorship of experienced captain Leonid Zinchenko (Vladimir Mashkov), he soon faces the ultimate test. Their crew is thrust into a life-or-death mission when a volcanic eruption threatens an island, and they must carry out a daring rescue operation.
