The 1995 comedy anthology film was created by four directors: Allison Anders, Alexandre Rockwell, Robert Rodriguez, and Quentin Tarantino. Set on New Year's Eve at the fictional Mon Signor Hotel, the story follows Ted (Tim Roth), a bellhop navigating a series of bizarre and comical incidents in four different rooms. Each story is a standalone comedy with its unique style and absurd situations. In the first room, a group of witches (including Madonna) attempts to complete a ritual requiring semen. The second story involves a marital dispute between a husband (David Proval) and wife (Jennifer Beals), dragging Ted into their chaotic argument. Rodriguez's third segment features two mischievous kids (Lana McKissack and Danny Verduzco) causing mayhem in their room while their parents are out. In the final story, directed by Tarantino, Ted is roped into a bet involving the chopping off of a finger proposed by a movie star (played by Quentin Tarantino). The film is characterized by its dark humor, absurd situations, and a star-studded cast including Bruce Willis, Madonna, and Antonio Banderas.
