Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me

A 1999 American spy comedy film directed by Jay Roach, written by Mike Myers and Michael McCullers. It is the second installment in the Austin Powers series. Mike Myers plays three roles: Austin Powers, Dr. Evil, and Fat Bastard. The story begins with Austin discovering that his wife Vanessa (Elizabeth Hurley) is a fembot sent by Dr. Evil. After she self-destructs, Austin returns to his bachelor lifestyle. Meanwhile, Dr. Evil develops a time machine and travels back to 1969 to steal Austin's mojo—the source of his charisma and sexual appeal. He assigns Fat Bastard (Myers) to extract the mojo from Austin's cryogenically frozen body. Upon learning this, Austin also travels to 1969, where he meets CIA agent Felicity Shagwell (Heather Graham), and together they attempt to retrieve the mojo and stop Dr. Evil, who plans to destroy Washington using a giant laser from the Moon. The film is rich in parodies of spy films, particularly the James Bond series, and features numerous comedic scenes highlighting the cultural differences between the 1960s and 1990s.
