A 1998 Canadian black comedy directed by Yves Simoneau. The film centers on Sven "The Swede" Sorenson (Marlon Brando), a ruthless prison warden who illegally executes certain prisoners. In the small town, everyone fears and despises him, except for his beloved twin daughters, Liv and Inga (Holly L. Watson and Christin Watson). To secure their boyfriends, Bud Dyerson (Charlie Sheen) and Larry (Thomas Haden Church), the twins deceive their father by claiming they are pregnant, compelling him to arrange "shotgun weddings." After the marriages, the Swede exploits his sons-in-law as free labor. Desperate, Bud devises a plan to rob a train carrying old bills destined for destruction. Larry reluctantly agrees to assist. However, the heist goes awry: Bud is arrested and imprisoned, where the Swede plans to kill him. FBI Agent Karen Polarski (Mira Sorvino) steps in, aiming to expose the Swede's crimes and save Bud from certain death. The film is notable for being Marlon Brando's penultimate screen appearance; his final role was in "The Score" (2001). Filming took place in Quebec's Eastern Townships, Canada, including locations such as Sutton Junction, Vale Perkins, Highwater, Mansonville, and Mont Owl's Head. Despite its star-studded cast, the film was an independent project by the Canadian studio Filmline.
