Green Zone

The 2010 American action thriller, directed by Paul Greengrass and based on journalist Rajiv Chandrasekaran's book "Imperial Life in the Emerald City," is set in Baghdad during the 2003 U.S. invasion of Iraq. Chief Warrant Officer Roy Miller (Matt Damon) leads a Mobile Exploitation Team tasked with locating weapons of mass destruction (WMDs), but he discovers that much of the intelligence provided is false or outdated. His efforts to uncover the truth are obstructed by Department of Defense official Clark Poundstone (Greg Kinnear), who is intent on maintaining the official narrative. Miller teams up with CIA agent Martin Brown (Brendan Gleeson) and Iraqi translator Freddy (Khalid Abdalla), leading them to uncover a conspiracy involving General Mohammed Al-Rawi (Yigal Naor), who holds crucial information about the non-existent WMDs.
