Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

A 2017 American superhero film based on Marvel Comics' Guardians of the Galaxy. The story is set two to three months after the events of the first film. The Guardians — Peter Quill (Star-Lord), Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot — continue their adventures across the universe. While undertaking a mission for the Sovereign race, the team encounters dangers, leading to a conflict with their leader, Ayesha. During their escape, they meet the mysterious Ego, who claims to be Peter Quill's father. Ego invites Peter, Gamora, and Drax to his planet, revealing Peter's celestial heritage and proposing that he join his plan to reshape the universe. Meanwhile, Rocket and Groot face the Ravagers, led by Yondu Udonta, Peter's former mentor. A mutiny occurs within the Ravagers, and Yondu, along with Rocket and Groot, are imprisoned. They manage to escape and reunite with the other Guardians. It gradually becomes clear that Ego's true intentions are dangerous for the entire universe. The Guardians unite to stop him, showcasing the strength of their friendship and unity. In the climactic battle, they confront Ego, risking their lives to save the galaxy.
