Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock

Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock is the third installment in the popular rhythm game series, developed by the American studio Neversoft and released in 2007. This is the first game in the series not developed by Harmonix, as the franchise rights were acquired by Activision. Players once again take up the guitar controller to perform legendary rock songs by pressing buttons in sync with the notes on the screen. For the first time in the series, a story mode was introduced, where players start from small gigs and gradually rise to rock legend status, facing off in musical duels against famous guitarists like Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine) and Slash (Guns N’ Roses). The game features over 70 songs, including hits from Metallica, The Rolling Stones, Pearl Jam, Muse, and DragonForce. An online multiplayer mode was also added, allowing players to compete against each other. Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock was released on PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, and Windows.
