Halo 4

A first-person shooter and the first main entry in the Halo series developed by 343 Industries after Bungie handed over the franchise. Set four years after the events of Halo 3, the game follows Master Chief and his AI companion Cortana as they find themselves on the mysterious planet Requiem, inhabited by the ancient Promethean race. The gameplay combines fast-paced combat, a variety of weapons and vehicles, and exploration elements. The multiplayer mode, "War Games," features classic and new competitive modes, while the cooperative "Spartan Ops" mode replaces the traditional Firefight, offering episodic missions with narrative cutscenes. Halo 4 received praise for its visuals, audio, and emotionally driven story but sparked debate among fans due to changes in gameplay mechanics and multiplayer balance. Originally released exclusively for Xbox 360, it later became available on Xbox One and Windows as part of Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
