Heist

The 2015 American crime action thriller directed by Scott Mann follows Luke Vaughn (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), an employee at "The Swan" casino who desperately needs $300,000 for his critically ill daughter's surgery. After being denied a loan and fired by the casino's owner, crime boss Francis "The Pope" Silva (Robert De Niro), Luke teams up with security guard Cox (Dave Bautista) to rob the casino, leveraging his insider knowledge of its security systems. The heist succeeds, but they are soon pursued by Pope's henchmen, leading to a violent shootout and injuries. In a bid to escape, Luke and his accomplices hijack city bus number 657, taking its passengers hostage. As tensions rise onboard, including among a pregnant woman and an elderly couple, Luke struggles to maintain control while evading both the police and the mafia. Complicating matters, police officer Kris Bauer (Gina Carano) is among the passengers, attempting to neutralize the threat from within. The film delves into themes of desperation, morality, and sacrifice, illustrating the lengths one will go to save a loved one.​
