Hot Fuzz

A 2007 British action comedy film directed by Edgar Wright, who co-wrote the screenplay with Simon Pegg. The film follows London police constable Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg), whose exceptional performance makes his colleagues appear inadequate, leading to his reassignment to the quiet village of Sandford. There, he partners with local officer Danny Butterman (Nick Frost), who is fascinated by Hollywood action movies. Shortly after their arrival, a series of bizarre deaths occur in the village, officially deemed accidents. Angel suspects there's more to these events and initiates his own investigation. He uncovers a secret society aiming to maintain the village's perfect image at any cost, eliminating those they believe tarnish its reputation. The film parodies and simultaneously pays homage to the action and buddy cop genres, blending witty humor with thrilling action sequences.
