Planet Terror

A 2007 American action comedy horror film directed by Robert Rodriguez. Set in Texas, it follows a group of survivors battling zombie-like creatures and a rogue military unit after a biochemical agent is unleashed. The main cast includes Rose McGowan as Cherry Darling, a former go-go dancer who loses her leg during an attack by the infected, and Freddy Rodriguez as her ex-boyfriend El Wray, a man with a mysterious past and exceptional combat skills. They are joined by Dr. Dakota Block (Marley Shelton), fleeing from her psychotic husband, Dr. William Block (Josh Brolin), and Sheriff Hague (Michael Biehn), who is trying to protect the town from the impending threat. Together, they confront Lieutenant Muldoon (Bruce Willis) and his soldiers, responsible for releasing the deadly DC2 gas that turns people into mutants. The film is part of the "Grindhouse" double feature, which also includes Quentin Tarantino's "Death Proof." "Planet Terror" received positive reviews from critics, with many considering it the superior of the two "Grindhouse" films.
