Spy Kids: All the Time in the World

The 2011 American spy action comedy film directed by Robert Rodriguez is the fourth installment in the "Spy Kids" franchise and serves as a standalone sequel to the previous films. The story centers on Marissa Wilson (Jessica Alba), a retired superspy who, after giving birth to her daughter Rebecca (Rowan Blanchard), marries TV host Wilbur Wilson (Joel McHale) and becomes stepmother to his children from a previous marriage—Rebecca and Cecil (Mason Cook). When a mysterious villain known as the Timekeeper (Jeremy Piven) threatens to destroy the world, Marissa is forced back into espionage. As the plot unfolds, Rebecca and Cecil discover their stepmother's true profession and, despite initial distrust, join her in combating the threat. They receive assistance from former spy kids Carmen (Alexa Vega) and Juni Cortez (Daryl Sabara), as well as Uncle Machete (Danny Trejo), who makes a cameo appearance. The film features "Aroma-scope" technology, allowing audiences to experience scents from the screen using special cards. Despite this innovative approach, the movie received predominantly negative reviews from critics, who noted franchise fatigue, but it grossed over $85 million worldwide against a $27 million budget.
