A 2015 American animated comedy film, serving as a sequel to "Hotel Transylvania" (2012), directed by Genndy Tartakovsky with a screenplay by Robert Smigel and Adam Sandler. The story is set seven years after the events of the first film. Dracula (Adam Sandler) now allows humans to visit the Hotel Transylvania. His daughter Mavis (Selena Gomez) and her husband Jonathan (Andy Samberg) are raising their son Dennis (Asher Blinkoff), who, according to Dracula, must exhibit vampire abilities by his fifth birthday to be considered a true vampire. While Mavis and Jonathan visit Jonathan's parents in California, Dracula and his friends—Frankenstein (Kevin James), Wayne the Werewolf (Steve Buscemi), Murray the Mummy (Keegan-Michael Key), and Griffin the Invisible Man (David Spade)—attempt to awaken Dennis's vampire traits. However, their efforts are unsuccessful. Meanwhile, Mavis considers relocating to California for Dennis's safety. Dracula decides to conduct a vampire initiation ceremony for Dennis at an old camp, but this leads to a dangerous situation when Dennis is put at risk due to a failed stunt. In the film's climax, Dracula's father, Vlad (Mel Brooks), who disapproves of humans, arrives. Upon learning that his great-grandson is a half-vampire, he accepts him. When the hotel is attacked by monsters, Dracula and his family unite to protect Dennis, who, in a critical moment, reveals his vampire abilities. The film concludes with Dennis's fifth birthday celebration, where monsters and humans coexist peacefully.
