Knock on My Tver

A 2024 Russian melodrama directed by Alexander Kott. The plot centers on Alisa, a successful and self-assured businesswoman from Moscow, who arrives in the Tver region aiming to acquire a land plot for constructing a profitable enterprise. However, the landowner, a solitary farmer named Sergey, declines the lucrative deal, presenting an unexpected obstacle for Alisa. Unaccustomed to refusals, she decides to stay on the farm to persuade Sergey to sell the land. Forced to spend several days together due to a collapsed bridge, they gradually grow closer, overcoming mutual prejudices and discovering new facets of each other. The main roles are played by Natalya Bochkaryova (Alisa), Pavel Priluchny (Sergey), and Liza Moryak. The film received positive reviews for its warm and family-oriented plot, as well as for its humor and the actors' performances. The premiere took place on December 24, 2024.
