Mozart

A 2006 Russian trash drama directed by Svetlana Baskova. The film tells the story of the old Maestro (Alexander Maslaev), a once-talented composer who has lost his inspiration and now buys musical works from young composers, passing them off as his own. His servant, a young composer (Sergey Pakhomov), dreams of recognition but is forced to sell his compositions to the Maestro, remaining in the shadows. One of the composers (Alexander Yatsko), who previously collaborated with the Maestro, begins to suspect deception and tries to expose him. Vyacheslav Ganenko plays the role of the Maestro's student, a plumber and amateur musician, who, along with his friend (Roman Rupyshev), witnesses the intrigues in the musical world. The film raises themes of creative crisis, ambitions, and moral choice, showing how the thirst for fame and recognition can lead to moral decline and the destruction of human relationships. The plot unfolds against the backdrop of the music industry, where true talent often goes unnoticed, and success is achieved by dishonest methods.
