The Head

A 2003 Russian film in the genre of black comedy with elements of fantasy and crime drama, directed by Svetlana Baskova. The main character, a nouveau riche (Sergey Pakhomov), inherits a living head (Alexander Maslaev) that possesses omniscience and fulfills its owner's wishes. The head, suffering from alcoholism and having a sarcastic demeanor, constantly demands attention and alcohol. It assists its owner in making profitable deals, uncovering subordinates' intrigues, and solving personal problems. However, the methods of achieving goals become increasingly criminal, including murders and schemes. Ultimately, the protagonist, disillusioned with his life and the head's advice, decides to retreat to a monastery, after eliminating his henchmen and disposing of the head. The film explores themes of greed, power, and moral decay, combining absurd humor with dark elements.
