Bad Santa

The 2003 American black comedy directed by Terry Zwigoff, written by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, follows Willie Soke (Billy Bob Thornton), an alcoholic and petty criminal who, along with his partner Marcus (Tony Cox), annually takes on the role of Santa Claus and his elf in shopping malls to rob them on Christmas Eve. Their scheme is disrupted when Willie befriends a naive and lonely boy named Thurman Merman (Brett Kelly), who genuinely believes Willie is the real Santa.
