Cocky — Running Doctor

A 1998 Russian film directed and written by Svetlana Baskova, encompassing genres such as horror, psychedelia, black comedy, trash, thriller, arthouse, and drama. The protagonist, surgeon Evgeny Cocky (Sergey Pakhomov), is determined to perform the operation of his life. To achieve this, he escapes from a certain Institute of the Brain and begins searching for a suitable person for his goal. During his quest, Cocky encounters various characters, including a factory director and journalist nicknamed "Satan" (Alexander Maslaev), Olga's lover (Emperor VAVA), Olga herself (Alyona Martynova), a programmer's lover (Victoria Sokolova), a programmer (Alexey Tkachenko), a factory worker (Georges Rumyantsev), a Bible preacher (Sergey Salnikov), a depressive person (Konstantin Nikolaev), and a visitor to the "Last Supper" (Oleg Mavromatti). The film is an experimental work that lies outside the bounds of traditional aesthetics, imitating dogma with an attempt to play in the avant-garde.
