Wild Tales

A 2014 Argentine black comedy anthology film directed by Damián Szifron. The movie consists of six standalone stories, all connected by themes of revenge, rage, and the loss of self-control in extreme situations. Among the characters are airplane passengers who uncover a disturbing connection; a waitress (Julieta Zylberberg) who encounters her former tormentor; two drivers (Leonardo Sbaraglia and Walter Donado) whose road rage escalates into a deadly fight; an engineer (Ricardo Darín) pushed to the edge by bureaucracy; a wealthy father (Oscar Martínez) trying to buy his son out of trouble; and a bride (Érica Rivas) whose wedding spirals into chaos after she discovers her groom’s infidelity. Wild Tales received critical acclaim, was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, and became one of the highest-grossing films in Argentine cinema history.
