Parenthood

A 1990 American sitcom based on the 1989 film of the same name, depicting the lives of four generations of the middle-class Buckman family residing in California. The main characters are Gil Buckman (Ed Begley Jr.) and his wife Karen (Jayne Atkinson), who are raising their three children: Kevin (Max Elliott Slade), Taylor (Thora Birch), and Justin (Zachary La Voy). The series also features other family members, including grandfather Frank Buckman (William Windom) and grandmother Marilyn Buckman (Sheila MacRae). The plot focuses on the comedic and dramatic aspects of parenting, family relationships, and everyday challenges. Notably, the show included performances by then-unknown actors who later became famous: Leonardo DiCaprio portrayed Garry Lampkin, and David Arquette played Tod Hawks. Despite receiving positive critical reviews, the series had low ratings and was canceled after one season comprising 12 episodes.
