A 2010 American family drama television series that chronicles the lives of the Braverman family, consisting of patriarch Zeek (Craig T. Nelson) and matriarch Camille (Bonnie Bedelia), along with their four adult children: Adam (Peter Krause), Sarah (Lauren Graham), Crosby (Dax Shepard), and Julia (Erika Christensen), and their respective families. Set in Berkeley, California, the series delves into various aspects of family life, including parenting challenges, career struggles, and personal relationships. Adam, the eldest son, is married to Kristina (Monica Potter), and they have three children: Haddie (Sarah Ramos), Max (Max Burkholder), who is diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome, and Nora. Sarah, a divorced single mother, moves back into her parents' home with her two teenage children: Amber (Mae Whitman) and Drew (Miles Heizer). Crosby discovers he has a son named Jabbar (Tyree Brown) with his former girlfriend Jasmine (Joy Bryant), and they work towards building a relationship. Julia, a successful attorney, is married to Joel (Sam Jaeger), who has taken on the role of stay-at-home dad for their daughter Sydney (Savannah Paige Rae). In later seasons, they adopt a boy named Victor (Xolo Maridueña) and later have a biological son. The series explores themes of parenthood, family values, personal and professional challenges, and issues related to raising children with special needs. "Parenthood" received critical acclaim for its realistic portrayal of family dynamics and well-developed characters. The show premiered on NBC on March 2, 2010, and ran for six seasons, concluding on January 29, 2015.
