An isometric role-playing game and the sequel to Pillars of Eternity, in which players once again take on the role of the Watcher—a hero capable of perceiving souls and their past lives. The story unfolds in the Deadfire Archipelago, where the player must pursue the resurrected god Eothas, who inhabits a colossal stone titan. Unlike its predecessor, Deadfire introduces a naval exploration system, allowing players to command their own ship, engage in sea battles, and explore various islands. The combat system combines tactical turn-based fights with real-time battles featuring a pause option, while character development offers extensive customization, including a multiclass system. A nonlinear narrative, deep dialogues, meaningful choices affecting the world, and numerous factions make this game one of the most intricate in the CRPG genre. Its vast open world, detailed locations, and high replayability have been praised by both players and critics. Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire is available on Windows, macOS, Linux, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
