Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader is an isometric role-playing game developed by Owlcat Games in close partnership with Games Workshop. Set in the grimdark universe of Warhammer 40,000, players assume the role of a Rogue Trader—a powerful explorer granted privileges to venture into and exploit distant corners of the galaxy. Players navigate the uncharted region known as the Koronus Expanse, commanding a massive voidship and exploring various planets. The gameplay features tactical turn-based combat, a deep moral choice system, and the ability to assemble a crew of diverse companions, each with unique personalities and backstories. Player decisions influence the narrative and relationships with different factions. The game has received positive reviews for its rich storytelling, detailed world-building, and strategic battles. In December 2024, the first expansion, "Void Shadows," was released, adding approximately 15 hours of new content, including new quests and a companion named Kibellah, as well as improving performance and addressing issues from the initial release.
