An American legal thriller created by David E. Kelley, based on Scott Turow's 1987 novel of the same name. The series follows prosecutor Rusty Sabich (Jake Gyllenhaal), who becomes the prime suspect in the murder of his colleague and former lover, Carolyn Polhemus (Renate Reinsve). As the story unfolds, Rusty faces betrayal from colleagues, political machinations, and the challenge of proving his innocence while trying to keep his family and marriage intact. The series explores themes of obsession, sex, politics, and the limits of love. It premiered on Apple TV+ on June 12, 2024. In July 2024, the series was renewed for a second season, which will be based on new material unrelated to the original novel .
