Ruki Vverh!

Russian pop group formed in 1993 in Samara by Sergey Zhukov and Aleksey Potekhin. Initially named "Mr. Ray and Company," the group was renamed "Ruki Vverh!" in 1995. They quickly gained popularity with dance hits and romantic lyrics, becoming one of Russia's most successful pop groups in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Among their well-known songs are "Kroshka Moya," "18 Mne Uzhe," "Chuzhie Guby," "On Tebya Tseluyet," and "Pesenka." In 2006, Aleksey Potekhin left the group, and Sergey Zhukov continued performing under the same name. Over the years, the group received numerous awards, including gold, platinum, and silver discs, five Golden Gramophone awards, four Song of the Year awards, as well as accolades from MUZ-TV, Stopudovy Hit, Zvukovaya Dorozhka, Bomba Goda, Rekord, and others. In 2003, they were recognized as the "Dance Project of the Decade" at the MUZ-TV Awards. In 2024, a feature film titled "Ruki Vverh!" was released, dedicated to the group's history. Despite lineup changes, Ruki Vverh! continue to tour actively and remain a significant part of Russian pop culture.
