The 1998 American independent psychological thriller directed by Eric Steven Stahl follows Mace Sowell (Patrick Stewart), a retired Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) operative in the early stages of Alzheimer's disease. Mace believes his life is threatened by his former superior, Admiral Thomas Michelmore, now a presidential candidate, to prevent the exposure of incriminating information. This data is stored electronically and set to be released to the media unless Mace updates a password daily. His claims are met with skepticism by his daughter Michelle and psychiatrist Dr. Simon due to his mental condition. A caregiver, Andi Travers (Kimberly Williams), is hired to assist him, leading to initial tension. As events unfold, Mace begins to suspect Andi's involvement in the conspiracy. The film delves into themes of paranoia, trust, and the challenges of declining mental health.
