Scary Movie

A 2000 American horror comedy parody film directed by Keenen Ivory Wayans. The movie lampoons popular late 1990s horror films such as "Scream" and "I Know What You Did Last Summer". The plot centers around a group of high school students, including Cindy Campbell (Anna Faris), her boyfriend Bobby Prinze (Jon Abrahams), their friends Brenda Meeks (Regina Hall), Ray Wilkins (Shawn Wayans), Buffy Gilmore (Shannon Elizabeth), and her boyfriend Greg Phillippe (Lochlyn Munro). A year prior, they accidentally hit a man with their car and covered up the incident. Now, they are being stalked by a masked killer who knows their secret. The film opens with the murder of Drew Decker (Carmen Electra), parodying the opening scene of "Scream". As the plot unfolds, the friends find themselves in absurd and comedic situations while confronting the killer. The movie is filled with satire on horror film clichés and contains numerous references to the pop culture of that era.
