Surf's Up 2: WaveMania

The 2017 American animated comedy film, directed by Henry Yu, serves as a sequel to the 2007 film "Surf's Up." The story once again centers on the crested penguin Cody Maverick (voiced by Jeremy Shada), who, despite his acquired surfing experience, feels a stagnation in his career and craves new adventures. Inspired by their fame, Cody seeks to join their team and embark on a quest for the mythical "Big Wave," which, according to legend, is the most perilous and exhilarating challenge for any surfer. However, to prove his worthiness, Cody must undergo a series of trials, demonstrating not only his surfing prowess but also teamwork, courage, and dedication. Throughout the preparation, he confronts inner doubts, overcomes fears, and learns the importance of collaboration. Lani Aliikai (Melissa Sturm), Cody's friend and lifeguard, supports him throughout the journey, helping him realize the true values of friendship and selflessness. In the film's climax, the team reaches the location where, according to legend, the "Big Wave" appears. Facing the majestic and dangerous force of nature, Cody and his companions must utilize all their skills and unity to tackle the challenge and prove to themselves and others that true glory lies not in victories, but in overcoming personal limitations and supporting friends.
