Survive the Game

A 2021 American action film that follows Detective David Watson (Bruce Willis) and his partner Cal (Swen Temmel) during a failed drug bust operation. In the ensuing shootout, David is seriously wounded, and Cal manages to track the criminals to a remote farm owned by veteran Eric (Chad Michael Murray), who is grappling with personal tragedies. Cal persuades Eric to assist him in confronting the gang of drug dealers who arrive at the farm with the injured David as a hostage. Together, the three men must utilize their skills and ingenuity to combat the numerically superior adversaries, relying on improvised traps, strategic thinking, and precise shooting. The film combines elements of a tense thriller and dynamic action, exploring themes of trust, redemption, and battling inner demons. Despite featuring well-known actors, the movie received predominantly negative reviews from critics, who pointed out a weak script, predictable plot, and underdeveloped characters. Nevertheless, some viewers appreciated the tense atmosphere and dynamic fight scenes. Bruce Willis was nominated for a Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Performance in this film; however, the nomination was withdrawn following the announcement of his retirement from the film industry due to health reasons.
