The Agency

The 2024 American espionage television series, created by Jez and John-Henry Butterworth, is an adaptation of the French series "Le Bureau des Légendes" and follows CIA operative Brandon, code-named "Martian" (Michael Fassbender), who, after six years undercover in Africa, is compelled to return to the CIA's London station. There, he encounters the unexpected return of his former lover, Dr. Samia "Sami" Zahir (Jodie Turner-Smith), reigniting their relationship and jeopardizing his mission and identity. Under the leadership of station chief James Bradley, code-named "Bosko" (Richard Gere), and mentor Henry Ogletree (Jeffrey Wright), Martian becomes entangled in a perilous game of international intrigue and espionage. The series delves into themes of personal identity, loyalty, and the moral dilemmas faced by agents in the intelligence world. The cast also includes Katherine Waterston (Naomi), Harriet Sansom Harris (Dr. Rachel Blake), John Magaro (Owen), Saura Lightfoot-Leon (Daniela "Danny" Ruiz Morata), India Fowler (Poppy), Reza Brojerdi (Reza Mortazevi), Alex Reznik (Pitor Rybak, code-named "Coyote"), Andrew Brooke, Adam Nagaitis, Ambreen Razia, Bilal Hasna, and Hugh Bonneville (James Richardson). The series premiered on November 29, 2024, on Paramount+ with Showtime, and was renewed for a second season in December 2024.​
