The Big Wedding

A 2013 American romantic comedy directed by Justin Zackham, "The Big Wedding" is a remake of the 2006 Swiss-French film "Mon frère se marie". The story centers on Donald "Don" Griffin (Robert De Niro) and his ex-wife Ellie (Diane Keaton), who, after 20 years of marriage, are divorced. Their adopted son Alejandro (Ben Barnes), originally from Colombia, is about to marry Melissa "Missy" O'Connor (Amanda Seyfried). Since his biological mother, a devout Catholic, is attending the wedding, Alejandro asks his adoptive parents to pretend they are still married to avoid upsetting her.
