The Bounty

The 1984 British historical drama directed by Roger Donaldson, with a screenplay by Robert Bolt based on Richard Hough's book "Captain Bligh and Mr. Christian," recounts the true story of the 1789 mutiny aboard the British ship HMS Bounty. Lieutenant William Bligh (Anthony Hopkins) leads an expedition to transport breadfruit plants from Tahiti to the West Indies. Meanwhile, Christian and the mutineers seek refuge on various islands, ultimately settling on Pitcairn Island.
