A 2024 Russian adventure film directed by Alexander Kott, based on real events from the 1960s. During the heightened tensions between the USSR and the USA, the first Soviet nuclear submarine K-3 "Leninsky Komsomol" embarks on a risky voyage beneath the ice of the Arctic Ocean. Despite challenging weather conditions and technical malfunctions on board, the crew aims to surface near the North Pole for the first time in history, showcasing courage and dedication to their country. The main roles are played by Andrey Merzlikin (Zhivtsov), Evgeny Mironov (Morozov), Olga Lomonosova, Elena Sever, Karen Badalov, Alexander Bukharov, Igor Gordin, Kirill Kyaro, and Konstantin Topolaga. Filming took place in Moscow, near St. Petersburg, as well as in Murmansk, Polyarny, and Zaozersk. The film premiered on February 27, 2024.
