Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga

The 2024 Australian post-apocalyptic action-adventure film, directed by George Miller, serves as a prequel to "Mad Max: Fury Road," exploring the youth of Imperator Furiosa. The narrative follows young Furiosa (Elayla Brown), who is abducted by the biker horde of Dementus and brought to the Citadel. There, she disguises herself as a mute boy, becoming a skilled soldier and mechanic. As an adult (Anya Taylor-Joy), Furiosa loses her arm in a skirmish with Dementus's forces but crafts a mechanized prosthesis and avenges her mother by killing Dementus. In the climax, she sets out to the Citadel to liberate Immortan Joe's wives. The film also features performances by Chris Hemsworth and Tom Burke in pivotal roles. The premiere took place on May 15, 2024, at the Cannes Film Festival, with a wide release on May 24.
