The Brutalist

The 2024 American drama film directed by Brady Corbet tells the story of Hungarian-Jewish architect László Tóth (Adrien Brody), a Holocaust survivor who emigrates to the United States in 1947. Aspiring to fulfill his architectural ambitions, László faces challenges adapting to a new country, financial struggles, and personal trials. He is supported by his wife Erzsébet (Felicity Jones), who arrives later with their niece Zsófia (Raffey Cassidy). Receiving a commission from wealthy entrepreneur Harrison Lee Van Buren (Guy Pearce) to create a memorial center, László immerses himself in the work, but his drug addiction and complex relationship with the client threaten the project's completion.
