The Cold Light of Day​

A 2012 American action thriller film directed by Mabrouk El Mechri. The story follows Will Shaw (Henry Cavill), a young businessman who travels to Spain for a family vacation. His father, Martin Shaw (Bruce Willis), is a U.S. government consultant. During a sailing trip, Will goes ashore, and upon returning, discovers his family has disappeared. He soon learns that his father is actually a CIA agent, and his family has been kidnapped by Spanish operatives demanding the return of a stolen briefcase containing sensitive information. Martin provides Will with a gun and instructions but is soon killed by his CIA colleague, Jean Carrack (Sigourney Weaver), who is revealed to be a traitor. Will is forced to evade agents and police while trying to locate the briefcase and rescue his family. Along the way, he meets Lucia (Verónica Echegui), who turns out to be his half-sister. Together, they confront betrayal and uncover a conspiracy within the CIA. The film features intense chase scenes, shootouts, and themes of family bonds and trust.​
