Black Water

A 2018 American action thriller directed by Pasha Patriki. Scott Wheeler (Jean-Claude Van Damme) is a seasoned deep-cover operative who awakens to find himself imprisoned in a CIA black site aboard a repurposed nuclear submarine. Alongside fellow prisoner Marco (Dolph Lundgren), he endeavors to uncover who set him up and to escape from this floating prison. Wheeler's memories lead him back to recent events: he and his partner, Melissa Ballard (Courtney B. Turk), were investigating a leak within the CIA using a USB drive requiring two components to activate. Ballard carried the drive, while Wheeler had the activation key. After an ambush where Ballard is seemingly killed, Wheeler is captured by Agent Ferris (Patrick Kilpatrick), who suspects him of treason. Agent Rhodes (Al Sapienza) expresses doubts about Wheeler's guilt. On the submarine, Wheeler is interrogated by agents Cassie Taylor (Jasmine Waltz) and Ellis Ryan (Aaron O'Connell). As events unfold, it becomes clear that Rhodes is the traitor, intending to sell classified information. Wheeler teams up with Taylor and Marco to thwart Rhodes and his accomplices, including Ballard, who faked her death and turned rogue. After a series of intense confrontations, Wheeler eliminates Rhodes, and Marco deals with Ballard, restoring justice and preventing the leak of sensitive data. The film delves into themes of betrayal, trust, and survival under extreme conditions.
