The Crossing Guard​

This 1995 American independent drama directed by Sean Penn follows Freddy Gale (Jack Nicholson), a Los Angeles jeweler whose life has been shattered by the death of his six-year-old daughter Emily, killed by drunk driver John Booth (David Morse). After serving six years in prison, Booth is released, and Freddy, consumed by vengeance, decides to kill him.
