The Devil Wears Prada 2

A comedy drama by David Frankel from a screenplay by Aline Brosh McKenna, the same director and writer who made the 2006 film. Meryl Streep plays Miranda Priestly again and Anne Hathaway plays Andy Sachs; Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci return as well. Theodore Shapiro composed the score. The release is set for 2026. The first picture came from Lauren Weisberger's novel and followed a university graduate who took a job as assistant to the editor-in-chief of an influential fashion magazine and spent a year living by the rules of somebody else's craft. It earned many times its budget and joined the small number of comedies that people go back to years later. Twenty years on, the world of glossy magazines rests on different foundations: circulation has fallen, advertising money has moved to people who film themselves, and the editorial power that looked unshakeable in the first film has become something to bargain over. The sequel returns the old characters to that altered order.
