The 2005 American comedy film follows former actor Bill Williams (Tom Arnold), whose career has declined, leading him to attempt suicide. His plan fails, and three days later, eccentric agent Johnny Bernstein (Henry Winkler) offers him a chance to write and star in a movie similar to "True Lies." Billionaire Davis Roman (Joe Mantegna) wants this film made so his son Aaron (Eric Gores), who has cerebral palsy, can fulfill his dream of acting in an action movie. Bill agrees, motivated by the financial gain. During the film's development, Bill befriends unemployed Guy Prince (Richard Edson), and they collaborate on the project, facing various challenges and misunderstandings. Initially skeptical, Bill comes to see Aaron as a talented and determined young man, not just someone with a disability. The film also features Linda Hamilton as Bill's ex-wife and Shannon Elizabeth as Aaron's mother. Cameo appearances include Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis. Combining comedy and drama, the film explores themes of friendship, overcoming prejudice, and pursuing one's dreams.
