Three Rooms in Manhattan

The 1965 French-Italian drama film directed by Marcel Carné is based on the novel of the same name by Georges Simenon. The story centers around the encounter of two lonely individuals in New York City: François (Marcello Mastroianni), a French actor who has recently left France in an attempt to escape his past, and Kay (Annie Girardot), a mysterious woman he meets by chance at a late-night diner.
