Three Thousand Years of Longing

The 2022 romantic fantasy drama, directed by George Miller, is based on A. S. Byatt's short story "The Djinn in the Nightingale's Eye." The film follows British narratology scholar Alithea Binnie (Tilda Swinton), who, during a trip to Istanbul, purchases an antique bottle and releases the djinn (Idris Elba) trapped within.
