Timbaland

American music producer, rapper, singer, songwriter, and music executive, born March 10, 1972, in Norfolk, Virginia. He began his career in the early 1990s under the moniker DJ Timmy Tim and later gained fame as Timbaland. His first major success came with producing Ginuwine's album "Ginuwine...the Bachelor" (1996), followed by successful projects with Aaliyah ("One in a Million", 1996) and Missy Elliott ("Supa Dupa Fly", 1997). Timbaland is renowned for his distinctive production style characterized by "stuttering" rhythms and innovative sound effects. He has collaborated with artists such as Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado, Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Madonna, Katy Perry, and many others. His solo albums include "Tim's Bio: Life from da Bassment" (1998), "Shock Value" (2007), "Shock Value II" (2009), "Yellow" (2024), and "Timbo Progression" (2025). Timbaland founded the labels Beat Club in 2001 and Mosley Music Group in 2006, through which he promoted artists like Nelly Furtado and OneRepublic. He has received four Grammy Awards and over 20 nominations, as well as more than 200 ASCAP awards. In 2020, he co-launched the webcast series Verzuz with Swizz Beatz, featuring musical battles between prominent artists.
