Tom and Jerry

An American animated television series created in 1940 by directors William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, it chronicles the unending rivalry between a cat named Tom and a mouse named Jerry. Each episode's plot revolves around Tom's attempts to catch Jerry, leading to numerous comedic and often destructive situations. Tom is a gray domestic cat striving to capture Jerry, but his plans invariably fail due to the mouse's agility and cleverness.
